Apple fruit pips have a bitter taste and hold trivial amounts of cyanogenic glycoside and amygdalin. These ingredients are not harmful enough to result in death, but if the seeds are used in large doses, they may trigger unfavorable reactions. If a person first chews and then swallows one cup of apple pips, after several hours the Cyanide poison may trigger fatal results. Although apple pips do not worry the humans, they seem to be dangerous for birds.
